During an wedding event, I believe it is up to the photographer to keep the momentum of happiness going. As a photographer, you spend so much time around the bride, the groom, the family, the bridal party.. you are the person that ties everything together! Before a wedding, everyone's nerves are on edge. Everyone is anxious and hoping that their plans work out. As a photographer you are looking for the best shots, and this is a tough task. But it can be so much easier to create beautiful photography if everyone is feeling reassured and happy about the day. Since you are the person connecting with literally every person, it is your "opportunity" to create an atmosphere that is conducive for warm lighthearted pictures. Be positive, stay happy and offer genuine compliments! Each person around you are looking for a base, for someone to offer reassurance and calmness. You can be that person! As a photographer, it is not just your job to take photographs.. if you want to get the best shots possible, then it is up to you to create an environment which those photographs are easily achieved. Stay calm, keep smiling, be playful and keep the mood positive.. you will be amazed how your interaction can completely dictate the energy of the day.
