Creating awesome black and white photography is all about looking for the "dynamics" of an image. Using the natural ambient light to add texture and contrast to your subject! So many people simply think that ANY photo can be a good black and white.. but that isn't the case at all. Black and white photography is about capturing something unique.. seeing a moment that has both depth and meaning and capturing the sincerity and intelligence of that moment. A black and white photograph should never be a non-emotional image. Applying a BW filter, or a sepia filter to your image should be USEFUL.. it should absolutely accentuate the brevity, truth, and "specialness" of that particular moment.
